One Print, Two Ways

One thing you may not know about me is that if I hadn't decided to attend the University of Iowa, I would have attended either Rockhurst University or University of Kansas, both of which are (obviously) in Kansas/Kansas City. My sister graduated from KU, and I absolutely loved visiting her, not just because of the many fun things to do, but also because the people are so nice! With that being said, I'm so excited to be collaborating with Alissa from the blog The Adored Life today, a fellow college student/style blogger who attends the University of Kansas (rock chalk!).

We decided to both wear polka dots! I'm loving how she paired her polka-dot chambray with an olive vest. I ADORE it! :)

There's a ton of construction going on outside my apartment, but I'm making the best of it by using it as pretty background for my pictures! Anyone else noticing the absurd amount of construction in IC? Have a great day everyone!

Class With Phillip Lim

Phillip Lim has done it again. When the new Phillip Lim for Target line debuted this Sunday, I was equally ecstatic and bummed, only because I had sorority recruitment all day and was afraid I wouldn't get to the store in time to snatch up a bag! Luckily the IC Target had a few left, and I've been toting my new bag all over campus.

I pair my chambray top with these comfortable black pants quite often on cool fall/spring days. It's comfortable enough to wear all day to classes and nice enough to wear to work with jewelry. My new GroupDealz bangle is super fun too. It definitely helped add some sparkle and shine to my outfit.

Apparently the weather is supposed to get up to 90 degrees tomorrow...just when I pulled my fall boots out from the back of my closet! Look out for a warmer-weather look on Friday!

What I've Been Up To: I Want Theta!

What a whirlwind these last two weeks have been! If you didn't already know, I am a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta, and I've been participating in my last-ever Formal Recruitment as a college student. It's definitely been bittersweet; it still feels like yesterday when I opened my bid card to read my name next to "Kappa Alpha Theta"! I've met many lifelong friends being a part of this sorority, and I feel very blessed to be surrounded by such supportive women. Below are just a few photos from recruitment!

My pledge class!

Look out for new outfits (yay!) on Wednesday!

It All Starts Here: What I've Been Up To

How was every one's Labor Day?? I haven't blogged for over a week due to a broken laptop and a shattered iPhone. How I managed to break both my Apple products in a two week span is beyond me, however I was able to run to Des Moines on Labor Day and replace them (hooray!).

This week I helped launch a campus-wide marketing campaign for my internship at the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. My supervisor surprised me with this ad back in August, and I could not have been more thrilled! This photo was taken at JPEC's marketing campaign photo shoot that I was helping facilitate, and my supervisor and I took a couple pictures just for fun. Little did I know my photo would be used as a "face" of JPEC! I feel very honored to be considered a face of JPEC and can honestly say I would not be where I am today without the advice and inspiration from the JPEC faculty and staff.

Check out JPEC's web page for more information about what JPEC can do for you as a student or as an Iowa entrepreneur. I'll be blogging soon for my internship as a behind-the-scenes look into what JPEC is all about, so be sure to check it out!
