Happy Easter Monday! There's something about this holiday that always makes me want to pull everything pastel to the front of my closet. Maybe it's the pastel-painted Easter eggs and the bright colored Easter candy that inspires my wardrobe during this time of year! I wore this dress for church on Easter Sunday and felt not only chic but comfortable. The tiered-chiffon overlay is of great quality, but I wouldn't expect anything less given that it's from J.Crew. Plus the hemline is the perfect length for church, seeing grandparents, etc! Definitely worth the money, and it's on sale for under $100!

Happy Friday! It's been a little crazy over on my end, and I'm so excited to be back on the blog today with a fun giveaway from The Mint Julep Boutique! There is something so classic about a black and white look. Whenever I wear this color combination, I feel confident that I'm making a sophisticated statement. What I love about a black and white look is that you can easily add in fun statement pieces or patterned accents, like my leopard bag, to spice up your look. You see, I live in a "small" community where my House of Harlow sunglasses would be considered a very trendy piece; in fact, it's common for me to have people in their cars giggling and pointing at my sunglasses while I'm in my car at stoplights (but seriously, this happens almost every time I wear them - and why are people looking into my car??? HA!). It equally cracks me up and creeps me out to be honest, however taking risks and mixing classic with trendy pieces is now something that I've learned to really love about my evolving style. Most of my pieces are, in fact, classics and basics that every girl has in their closets, however it's those fun pieces that are a bit unexpected that I enjoy incorporating into my looks to make myself stand out a little!

I love wearing white in colder months! There are just so many cute sweaters, skirts, coats, etc. in creamy white shades that I can't resist. When wearing white in the winter, consider looking for heavy, cozy fabrics instead of lighter chiffons (unless you live in the South... then by all means do what you need to stay cool!). The only thing I would avoid is white denim... I've seen a few Pinterest photos of winter outfits in white denim, but it seems odd to pair with winter boots in my humble opinion.
