Casual Trench...

Trench: Forever 21 | Dress: Similar | Heels: BCBGeneration | Bag: Tory Burch, similar under $70  | Lipstick: MAC - Snob

If you're looking for one spring item to buy this season, my pick would be a casual trench. First off, they're very lightweight. Have you ever been in your office and thought it was soooo cold but wearing your coat at your desk would be too weird? No? Ok maybe this is just me everyday! But trenches are the solution to this problem!! They're great to wear with jeans and a tee, as well as with dressed up looks too. I think they add a modern and sophisticated touch! I wore this look to a work event and I received lots of compliments on the blush color. Also, it's a machine washable jacket. Yes please!

I've linked a few more casual trenches below!

A Pink Winter...

Sweater: J.Crew | Denim: Paige | Booties: Sam Edelman | Bag: Tory Burch, similar under $70 | Earrings: similar | Lipstick: MAC - Snob

I've been helping my parents with their home reno project in Okoboji and this was the outfit I wore to shop for flooring and cabinets! Don't mind the minimal makeup look - I was in a construction zone all day :) I love tunic sweaters because they are easy to throw on with leggings for running errands, but they are really cute tucked into jeans too! To dress this look up, you could add nude heels or wedges, and these earrings add some much needed bling to an otherwise basic outfit.

Speaking of minimal makeup - I have one trick that I ALWAYS do every day, whether I'm in full makeup or none at all. Even though I have naturally dark and thick eyebrows, I will always fill them in with THIS powder. A little of this goes a LONG way - I swear it instantly makes you look more youthful and you'll have beautiful brows like Brooke Shields!

Making the old look new...

Top: J.Crew | Skirt: J.Crew, very similar here | Shoes: Steve Madden | Bag: DailyLook, very similar | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Earrings: similar & similar | Lipstick: Bobbi Brown - Pale Mauve | Nails: OPI Gel - White Hot

Lately I've been trying to find new ways to wear old items in my closet, because...you know, I'm on a budget :) Tissue turtlenecks are an essential in my closet! I wear them alone like today, or with utility vests, blazers and faux fur vests too! They're really lightweight so they're great for transitioning seasons, like in the spring and fall. Plus they come in sooooo many colors, even striped options too. They're a little see through in the darker shades, so I suggest wearing a cami underneath. I bought mine in a small.

Hope everyone has fun Easter weekend plans! My parents came into town last night and I think watching lots of college basketball and going to Easter Sunday mass is our plan. :)

White on White...

Blouse: LOFT (on sale for under $50!) | Skirt: J.Crew, similar & similar under $35 | Pumps: BCBGeneration, similar & more color options here | Bag: DailyLook, very similar here | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Necklace: Similar (only $10!) | Bracelet: Charming Charlie, similar | Lips: MAC - Snob lipstick with MAC - Pink Nouveau lipgloss

I thought the title of today's post was appropriate given that I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning! I wore this outfit to work yesterday and boy am I happy that I did because it's back to my Ugg boots and parka today... :/

Even though it's snowing today, the temperatures have been rising now that's it's spring, so I'm starting to pull all of my spring and summer skirts out from the back of my closet. This skirt from J.Crew will be a staple this summer - I can't wait to wear it with tanks and light sweaters for work. And since it's a little too early to wear wedges, I paired my all white look with contrasting black accessories to really make this monochrome look stand out.

Also, I love this utility blouse - I wear it all the time. If you saw my snapchat posts yesterday (libbyglaser) you might've noticed I wore it two days in a row this week! My only complaint is that it runs a little big in the arms and torso - I bought it in a medium and wish I would've gotten the small!

Have a great day! Thanks so much for reading. xo

Spring and Summer Footwear: $100 or less

I've officially started my "spring cleaning" this week, and I noticed that a lot of my riding boots and winter snow boots are going back into storage, however I'm in need of a few new pieces to add to my spring shoe collection! I've searched high and low to find some great new footwear that I think you'll all love, so today I'm sharing my favorite shoes for spring and summer! I've linked each piece below, and all but one of my picks are under $100!
I love a covered wedge for spring - for those of us in the Midwest, spring can still be a little chilly, so I love having a little more coverage on a wedge that you can easily transition into warmer weather during the summer. The "Risza" wedge, paired with ripped denim skinnies, would work great in the fall months too!

Lace-up shoes are so trendy this season, and I love how designers are choosing soft pastel shades to give this edgy look a sweeter vibe. The Vince Camuto heels are at a comfortable heel height, and the floral print on the Sandalia heel is making me crave floral looks!
*Azela heels are $129 - but they are gorgeous and worth the splurge in my opinion
---
Steve Madden "Darcie"  // Steve Madden "Werkit" // MICHAEL Michael Kors "Warren"
Easy summer sandals are my go-to for coffee runs and lakeside concerts. The "Werkit" sandal was very popular last summer, but the "Darcie" option with a stacked heels adds a little more sophistication to any casual outfit.

---
For functionality, I usually wear flats at the office, but flats don't have to be boring! The floral print on the "Arianna" is beautiful and I love the shades of blue, and I'm obsessed with the pastel pink "Toffy" option. I mean, how cute is that scalloped edge? And they are under $50!

Which one is your favorite? Thanks for reading!

Weekend Greys...

T-Shirt: Very similar  | Denim: Articles of Society | Shoes: Steve Madden | Bag: Daily Look, similar here | Watch: JORD in Fieldcrest c/o | Bracelet: similar | Lipgloss: Dior | Sunnies: Ray-Ban

I'm loving easy weekend outfits, and this swingy tee was perfect for walking around town and enjoying a few brews with friends. I've been gravitating towards grey shades lately and this striped white and grey top from Nordstrom is so soft! Unfortunately this specific tee already sold out, however I found one that is almost identical and it's cheaper than what I paid for this one!

I paired this tee with my grey lace up flats that I'm literally obsessed with! Normally with this brand of shoes I have to go a size up, however these fit like a glove and are SO comfortable. I was worried they would give me blisters or be too narrow, but they are actually very comfortable and are easy to walk around in all day. They look adorable with lightweight dresses too! They come in a few different colors - the dove blue is gorgeous and the black version are on sale!

How was everyone's weekend? I spent some time in southern Minnesota with some friends Saturday night and Sunday I had a horrible headache...if anyone has some remedies for chronic headaches please let me know! I swear I get them more and more as I get older!

3 Ways to Make Black and White Pop...

SweaterH&M | ShirtLOFT | Denim7FAM | HeelsBCBGeneration | PurseDaily Look   | SunniesRay-Ban | EarringsJ.Crew | BraceletJuicy Couture | WatchJORD in Fieldcrest c/o |
LipstickMAC - Snob

I love a good black and white outfit - it's a never fail combo, right? I can't just wear black and white without adding a bit of pizazz to it though :) So today I'm sharing a few easy ways to create an interesting black and white look!

Pop of color
We all know I'm a fan of the pop of color, especially when it comes to lipsticks. Adding a bright lip, or even a bright nail color, can add an interesting detail to your outfit that will definitely stand out! I'm currently obsessed with THIS lipstick (shade: Snob) and THIS lipgloss over the top of it!

Texture
Mixing textures is crucial in almost any outfit, but it's especially needed when wearing neutrals - it just makes the outfit more interesting! Mixing the silky button down with a rib-knit sweater, along with fitted denim all create a dynamic look. You can also add texture with accessories, like a leather bag or a snakeskin wrap bracelet.

Something unexpected
I'm a firm believer in having your staple items - a pair of crystal stud earrings, a great work bag, a comfortable nude pump, etc. However there's something about having a few pieces that are sooooo different and unexpected that are great to wear with your fav staple pieces. One of my favorite unexpected pieces is my wood watch from JORD. All of their watches are made with natural wood that add a cool factor to your bracelet stack, and they're incredibly light on your wrist! I'm obsessed!

How do you wear your fav black and white pieces?

Cherry Red & 2016 Updates..

Hello...it's me...
Ok just kidding! But really, it's been awhile since I've blogged and I missed you all too much!!

I wish I could say my absence was because I needed a "creative break" or that I was on some exciting adventure, but in all reality, time just got away from me. After a few months of devoting my time on other projects and a quick vacation to Scottsdale last month, I've decided it's time to get back to doing things I love, like working out again (hello 5am spin class) and sharing my favorite things to all of my internet friends! :)

Now that I'm back into the blogging mode, I'm realizing that I most likely won't be posting everyday like I used to! I just wanted to be so honest with you all about that! So if you start to notice gaps between posts, forgive me! And if you're really curious, you can always follow my daily happenings on my Instagram

Cardigan: J.Crew | Button down: LOFT | Denim: 7FAM | Flats: Yosi Samra | Bag: Tory Burch | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Necklace: BaubleBar  | Earrings: Charming Charlies | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Juicy Couture  | Lipstick: MAC - Patisserie

Ok, on to this look...now that it's feeling like spring, I definitely gravitate towards bright colors and lighter layers! This sweater is sooooo bright and it has really cute gold buttons that look great with my gold jewelry! I feel like the photos don't show how bright the color is, but it's a very pretty cherry red. I love wearing it with a crisp white button down, but you could definitely wear a simple tank underneath or with a sheath dress for the office!

Also, these flats have seen a LOT of action lately, so much so that I think I need to buy another pair before they wear out! They're really comfortable to wear all day, and they're foldable which makes them super easy to travel with. They come in a pouch, and I keep them stashed in my purse for when I'm running around.

Thanks so much for reading! Who's watching the Bachelor tonight?! Me me me!!
