So I've debated putting this dress on the blog because I've had the hardest time finding it online, but I've linked two different stores below that I KNOW had it in stock in the last month! I would definitely call them to see if they have it. I wear this dress weekly - it's one of the comfiest dresses that I own and it's not super thin material. I've washed and dried this dress more than a few times and it hasn't lost it's shape at all! One of my friends was complimenting me because it has an anchor on it and she's a Delta Gamma (their symbol is the anchor!) and she loved it so much she was offering to buy it off my back! I'm not selling mine because I love it too much, but you should be able to find it at one of these two stores :)

Three words. NEON. FLORAL. MAXI. I've been eyeing this dress for awhile and I couldn't resist after taking a good look at the price - $42!  I love how it flows in the wind when you walk... it kinda makes me feel like I'm windblown without getting lipgloss all over my face and in my hair! Ha! The dress is lined so it's not see through at all, even though the fabric is on the lighter side. It comes in a lot of other solid colors too - I also got it in an icy blue shade! For sizing purposes, I'm usually a 4/6 in dresses so I ordered the Medium. And BONUS - it has adjustable straps. Also check out the shorter version here!

 I wore this dress while shopping at the Mall of America last month and it looked just as cute paired with casual flat sandals. People were stopping and asking me where I got it and it was a treat to tell them I got it at my favorite retailer just a few steps away. :)

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays - I love all the lakeside BBQs, hanging out with friends and family on the boat, and all the red, white and blue! I spent my fourth of July by waking up early to make breakfast, going on a long walk with my dad, boating and laying out with good friends, eating a LOT of amazing food and watching the fireworks fly over the lake on the boat. Why can't every weekend be the 4th of July?

If you couldn't tell from my Instagram this weekend, stripes have been my go-to lately, and this adorable Umgee USA dress fit the bill. It has a nautical feel to it but is still casual enough for everyday wear, and I especially love that it has a slight high/low to it. Sometimes cotton dresses can get too short after a few washes, but this one you don't have to worry because it's so long in the back! I actually prefer the length of this dress after washing it a few times because the back of the dress was a little long on my 5'5" frame! I've linked a few of my favorite nautical dresses below. I'm stocking up on some of those long sleeved ones for fall!

I'm amazed at how effortless off-the-shoulder tops can be! This top from Nordstrom is by far one of my favorite tops for summer. I've now worn it two days in a row and have gotten lots of compliments! At first glance, the lace looked like it might be a tad itchy, but once on it was very comfortable and flattering! I can't wait to wear it for 4th of July parties this week! For sizing, I ordered a Medium and it fits perfect!

OK my summer concert obsession has gotten a little out of control - I'm practically planning my weekends around the next few concerts by Lake Okoboji this summer! If you've ever visited Northwest Iowa in the summer, you've probably heard of Arnolds Park Amusement Park. It's a very historic amusement park right by the lake (it has a 125 year-old wooden roller coaster that will make you feel and look terrifying... #needingallthehairspray) and they also hold summer concerts every weekend! My family has gone to these concerts ever since I was a little girl... my first-ever concert was at Arnolds Park where I danced the night away to the country band Trick Pony (I was their biggest 8-year old fan for a solid year after that concert!). There are so many young families hanging out, but it's also great for 20-somethings like me and my friends, as there are lots of nightlife options just up the street for after the concerts! :) Summer is prime season for me and my friends to go to concerts and fun events, and Eventbrite is a great tool to search for local concerts and also to buy and sell tickets!
