So last year for Christmas my Dad bought me this beautiful ruana. At first, I thought it was a scarf, and said "ohhh what a pretty scarf!", but I was surprised to hear (from my dad no less) that it was a ruana, a term I'd never heard before. Fast forward to this fall/winter, and ruanas are now super on trend! I shouldn't be surprised that my dad picked this out - he honestly has the best style and insists on using tailors often! I love how ruanas can be styled in both casual and formal looks. For work, I traded my jeans with a camel-colored pencil skirt to make my look office appropriate, and I've also styled it with a simple black cotton dress and flats. It's honestly so versatile and being that it's a wool/cashmere blend, it's soooo warm! This is definitely a gift I've used over and over.
