J.Crew Spring Forward Event Recap

SHOP THE LOOK

Two posts in one week?! This is (sadly) a new record around here.

I remember when I graduated college I was so devoted to publishing three posts every week. I did that for years before life got really busy with a career change and a move. I look back now and realize how much determination and hard work it took to create consistent content - I'll get back to those days here soon, no doubt about it! So today I'm celebrating a mini-milestone. I'm starting to feel like my old self around here! :)

Last month, J.Crew at Jordan Creek Town Center graciously invited me to host their Spring Forward event. We showcased their new spring arrivals, I styled shoppers, and we had lots of yummy treats and gorgeous blooms from Wildflower to celebrate the occasion. I loved meeting so many of you at the event! It's truly a pleasure to meet readers in person - you're all the reason I write, shop, review and share. I consider each of you one of my girlfriends who, like me, enjoys chatting about life's frivolities!

On a different note, this event wasn't just about shopping around J.Crew for a new dress or blazer - I had the opportunity to connect with each of you about your Easter plans with your families, discuss what look you were going for in your big interview on Monday, what your daughter's favorite middle school class was, how you wanted to honor your best friend with a heartfelt gift, or how you wanted to treat yourself to a well deserved goodie! For those of you who I had the pleasure of meeting, thank you!

J.Crew gave me this dress to wear for the event and it is seriously a stunner. I remember in middle school baby blue was the "it" color and all my gal pals wore baby blue accessories, shoes, etc. (I wore uniforms to school, so we couldn't actually wear clothing that color!). Baby blue has come a long way since the early 2000s, and the color on this dress is beautiful without making you look like an Easter egg. It's an easy dress to pair with gorgeous nude heels or blocked heel sandals, but you could easily dress this look down with some fun sneakers. Wear this dress with a traditional denim jacket to church and then tie it around your waist afterwards and you'll look casual-chic for Sunday brunch. For sizing, I ordered my regular size 8 but it runs a little large in the chest so I recommend sizing down one. Also, this dress is currently marked down to $82.80 with code REFRESH and it's also price-matched here

Hope you're having a great day and thanks so much for reading today's post. If you happened to be at the event last month, please leave a comment and say hi!
